As the title says, I only buy Busse knives. Why? The reputation, the standards and warranty. Of utmost importance is the relationship Jerry has with his clientele. He makes you feel important and strives to make you happy.
“Two weeks” ago I sent an email describing two fat game wardens that were in need of attention. The first one had a terrible edge bevel that someone had tried to sharpen ( a very poor job) and the blade had deep scratches on the blade. The other Warden was a total mess. A custom shop beauty that someone tried to give it a nuclear treatment and the worst sharpening attempt ever.
I wrote Jerry personally and he Immediately responded after seeing the pictures that I should send them in and he would take care of them. “Two weeks” later, I got them back in new condition. Both blades look brand new and I couldn’t be happier.
Why buy a knife from somewhere else that is both inferior in quality, warranty and owner interest in your satisfaction?
Pictures tell the whole story.
Thank you Jerry, you have both my continued business and my utmost respect.

Classy not sassy.

I dig your vibe.

Remember those commercials with the Maytag repair man sitting around bored? I imagine that's the Busse warranty department's reality. When you build an indestructible product, there's not a lot of warranty work so Jerry and the crew probably get super excited when they get the chance. They went above and beyond for me too when I had a couple that needed service. Garth re-etched the logo on my stripped Battle Saw that I picked up on the exchange. He also put an amazing edge on it.

There is NO knife company out there with a warranty that comes even close to Busse.

Where else would you find the CEO and owner of the company personally replying to you to apologise and arrange correction......it just does not happen anymore.

I have read many threads like this on BF and had my own warranty experience with Busse. It is fantastic.

Busse represents everything that can and should be good with a manufacturer. A top product backed by a top company!:)

Every time I have even thought about buying a knife from another company, I ask myself - does Busse make something that does what this knife will do? As long as the answer is yes, I don't buy it. I haven't bought another company's fixed blades in a long time.

I have few doubts that my well loved/used collection will be used by my family long after I am gone and that someday 'Great Grandpa's Camping Knives' will be used. Although, I'm sure the priced out collection will someday be looked at towards buying a new car or hopefully, a house down-payment...as long as it isn't a 'take this heavy box of knives to the Good Will...'

I just recently discovered Busse, & Kin in the last couple of months and I freely admit to you guy's (not my wife), I'm not done buying them, I also will continue to buy every Becker Knife & Tool (nothing Chinese) product and Any ESEE knife that grabs me.

Also Fiddleback Forge, damn their oily hides. Those are legit.

That sentiment may fade more than you think. Nothing at all wrong with the knives you list there...just sayin’. Once you discover there are INFI alternatives to your other production favs, you may begin to question why you should continue buying and using lesser steels.

Apologies for a injury to the knife purchased second hand no less

Did you contact him directly or send it Busse? Feel free to message if my question is inappropriate.

I’ve only had to use Busse’s customer service once and it was first rate.

Jerry sent me his phone number and told me if I ever had any other problems to call him.

Top notch company, Top notch knives, top notch service, and it all starts at the top with a top notch Bossman.

Now that I think of it, this is true in my case. All four of my non Busse knives are folders.

Same boat too, any non-busse kin fixed blades ended up being gifted or sold. :p

Only thing that MIGHT scratch a similar itch for me were customs. To each their own though!
