If it's in the exchange, reactions are disabled. I believe moderators can still leave "likes".And yet when you go through the thread, some comments do have a “thumbs up” or “like” posted by other members?
I’m only asking out of curiosity, really don’t care about it one way or the other. . .I just noticed this in the feedback section and looking back I think it's all mods that are leaving thumbs up and similar. I'm not envious or anything but I guess now that it's pointed out I'm curious why we can't leave a thumbs up or whatever if you're still free to comment??? You can burp but you better not fart...![]()
Never thought of that. That makes sense, thanks. . .Some threads that have been moved from one location to another may have likes transferred with the posts. There are a few different reasons why likes may or not be available in posts in different locations.
Because we can remove a post, but we have to get the member to remove an emoji...or threaten them with bodily harm if they don't.I just noticed this in the feedback section and looking back I think it's all mods that are leaving thumbs up and similar. Same. Just made me curious as well.I’m only asking out of curiosity, really don’t care about it one way or the other. . .
Makes sense and yet I get both points of view.I think sellers were complaining that readers would post silly emojis in their threads, affecting sales.
Let's say you post a thread selling a Buck 110 for $600, and you get everybody posting shocked or laughing emojis, basically saying you are asking too much, without actually typing this and practically ignoring the no comments in the for sale threads rule.

Well, now we're going to have to change your user name to "Equivocalbob54"Makes sense and yet I get both points of view.
I’m aware of the reasoning behind it in the sales section. As I said before I wasn’t talking about a sales thread. It’s in the feedback section - kind of ironic now that I think about it. . .I think sellers were complaining that readers would post silly emojis in their threads, affecting sales.
