Why is it that...

Because I appreciate fine mechanical things, how the pieces interrelate and combine to make "more" than just the sum of the parts as a whole- be it knives, watches, guns, or anything else finely crafted by skilled tradesmen.....
 
Interestingly I find myself consolidating my collection to only crk and shirogorov, everything else was either sold or kept as backup (you know, that knife you keep next to the toilet seat in case you have to cut something when you're taking a dump).
 
It's a sickness (technically, it's a clinical disorder), and we pretty much all have it...

Just embrace it and enjoy the blades, brothers and sisters!
