I got a bottle of Militec-1 today for the first time. It has a booger in it. Not a crusty nugget booger, but the long stringy sticky kind. Is it supposed to be there like a worm in the bottom of a bottle of Tequilla? Do I shake this thing up and try to dissolve it or should I just eat it when I'm done?
Ya know. There seems to be some discrepency on how to use this stuff and I can understand why. While reading their website I repeatedly made the following exclamation, "You want me to do WHAT?" They want me to stick my gun under a black tarp in the sun? (See what happens when you eat the worm?)
So I did some searches here hoping that sober minds (yeah, as if) could help me.
Gollnick (www.balisongcollector.com) says he heats the knife up first with a hair dryer. I don't doubt his method - I just doubt that it's the only method, because I've read on here that some people heat the knife after the Militec instead. And, for heaven's sake, there must be a reasoned explanation on how to use this stuff on a gun.
I sincerely hope I'm posting this early enough on a Friday that you all haven't yet eaten the worm at the bottom of your collective bottles of tequilla.
