What is it about Kershaw that stands out to you as the reason to buy Kershaw knives? There are probably a number of factors but what are the biggest reasons? Is it their designs? Their materials? Their affordability? What makes them your knife of choice?

Tough. American Made. Cutting edge technology in every blade. T Dubz.

Those are the reasons I buy Zero Tolerance and Kershaw.

I bought my first Kershaw/ZT without knowing absolutely anything about the company. Bought it online and it was also my first a bit more expensive folder. Chose it because it seemed to have good ergos, good enough blade steel and it looked cool too. That folder was ZT0200ST and since then I have been hooked. The 0200 lived up to my expectations and beyond. Nobody does tough overbuilt folders in large-scale production like ZT. I'd say biggest factors for me are the innovative designs combined with top-notch materials. They're not really affordable here in Finland...

I knew him by reputation but was only a pretty big Kershaw fan, now a HUGE fan, until I met him in person and saw him toss a pink knife to
one of his staff with the instructions to give it away to the next girl "about this guys age" referring to a
boy he just gave a knife to. It looked like pink G10 or possibly the material on the Needs Work. I'm pretty
sure it wasn't a pink Leek. Anyway..
He had a box of knives and asked the boy which he thought was the nicest
and gave him that. He also took the few knives out of the kids hand and marked FREE or something on
the price tags. Plus just the way he interacted with people and his staff.. while he was off in the back
I talked to one of his staff and that person had things to say about him. He's just as awesome in person
as he sounds here... sarcastic and humorous.. I hardly know him though unlike Dave and Jason and the
other guys but he's the kind of guy you sit down with and he's like the guy you used to cause mayhem
with in High School but haven't seen for years. He doesn't hold back at all and just says whats on his mind,
not like you've known him forever, but that he's known you forever and doesn't much care what you think
about what him or what he has to say! He's the one and only Thomas! I think you either love him or you hate
him but he is who he is and that's all he cares to be.

#Their warranty.
It's nice to not be treated like a child and be able to install pocket clip screws on my own.

#Great designs including the latest in steels and manufacturing like composite blades and 3D millings like the 0560 handles.

Such sweet sentiments... I'll bet he's tearing up a little. ;)

Well jeez, make him get back here. You just can't see the sarcasm dripping off of it when you type it!
If he said "I'm tearing up a little guys".. we'd know he's laughing his ass off, but actually does enjoy the sentiment a bit.
Of course he loves being the rockstar and totally plays it up! But, that being said, it's somewhat deserved as he is quite the rock star to the band of miscreants
that hang out around here. Someday he'll have Lolo in agreement!

I love the designs, innovations, materials, warranty, USA made, variety, prices, Leeks, probably some other stuff too.

To me the main thing that keeps me coming back for more are the designs and designers/collaborators! (helps bring innovation)
The fact that they back up their products completely is awesome compared to any industry. You can use their product with complete confidence.
They are reasonably priced.
Material selection is as good or better than other knives.

There are so many to choose from, I write some off and them end up getting them when they get discontinued and wonder why I waited so long.

Great question.
I love that fact that they produce products for everyone and they stand behind their $15 knife the same they stand behind their $400 knife. Innovative designs, and just damn good knives add to it as well. Then to top it off, they got a Thomas! I have never met him but from what I've seen/read from him I'm a firm believer that other companies should make getting a Thomas their first priority.

hopefully ill see Thomas at blade. I love kershaw because they are price great when they use great stuff. when another company might charge $200 its $100 from kershaw... i love that... That includes zt knives... I wouldn't want to know how much a zt 0550 would have cost me under benchmade's name or any other company for that matter...

For me it is their designs and their affordability, meaning great value.

The ZT knives are very popular even at their relatively high prices. I got curious and started looking at them a bit, then this afternoon I was looking at my S30V Blur and noting how similar in design it is to some of the ZT knives. I think it is a great knife at an even better price. I've had an S30V Leek for a number of years and I think it is a great knife too.

I've studied the entire Kershaw catalog and found a lot of designs in there that appeal to me but most are smaller than what I am looking for these days. I got curious about the OSO Sweet model and did some research on it. I found a lot of good things written about it and nothing bad, and it is a very affordable knife.

I got into them as I've owned Shuns for years but lived/worked in NYC and ones I like weren't really legal for my to EDC..So once I moved to NC I decided to buy a Leek and try them out. So far I've owned 7 blurs, SpeedForm II, 6 Scallions, 4 leeks,ENERG-2, 4 Shallots, 4 tilts, 3 ZT 0350s, 1 ZT 0200 and 2 skylines (Well 1 till the BF one gets here)..There Fit/Finish/Out of the Box Sharpness/Quality of Materials is what did it for me. And for the money you can't complain either.

primarily because of their varied designs...love the different design ideas and innovation

also because of they have high quality blades available at every price point

All of the above, I'd say. They are just top-notch knives.

I've always loved their knives. The materials seem pretty good, the price is affordable, and most of all they're made in the USA!

My first Kershaw was a Zing I bought about 4 years ago, haven't looked back since. The price, quality, and CS can't be beat. Period.

In my opinion Zero Tolerance knives are the best knife for the money I have ever seen , to be honest I'm not big into Kershaws, but I love zt their materials are awesome, the knives are over built, warranty is great, I was gonna post a thread on why I believe Zero Tolerance Is the best production knife company right now, but I saw this thread. I've owned the zt 0350x2 a 0300, 0301, 550 551 and have a 560 on the way, I've never had a problem with any of them , no blade play no f&f issues NOTHING! I've also owned a lot of knives from a lot of companies, and on all of them at least 1 if not more of those knives has had some sort of issue, but not with ZT every knife has been perfect period.
