Why Mr. Randall holds Bladetech folder in his knife catalog?

Jeff wrote a pretty good article concerning folders and some small fixed blades for bushcraft use in a magazine called "Tactical Knives", the March 2009 issue. It was a pretty detailed article, it compared the Bladetech Magnum, SOG trident Ka-Bar/Becker BK11, and a Blind Horse Knives Work Horse. If you are interested in his folder choices you could try PMing him.

He didn't like the Trident for bushcraft as much as the Magnum, the trident had a tanto tip, but I think he said in town he preferred the trident since it rode lower and was less visible.

In both cases Mr. Jeff was wrong. Only one american folder deserve to be no.1 choice in all extreme situations ( if you need folder instead of real knife ). But this one is really huge step upon the others. Picture's coming! Don't fool yourself, even this one needs to be little " improved ".

 We, and Jeff, don't care about whatever you personally prefer in a folding knife. It's whatever he prefers, and we're a lot more apt to listen to him then you.

Right, let's list improvements:
Lose the axis lock
Tip down carry
Longer handle with better G-10 texture and ergos
Give it a finger choil
Round hole instead of thumbstuds
No recurve

I'm not interested in his choice of any kind of knife, thanks. It's too much that I bought RAT and TAK, but this is my mistake.

Think with your own head, don't listen anyone. I sold mine because of too big handle and terrible ergonomics. I don't understand why they call this knife " Military ".
True, even 710 isn't perfect, corners of handle are too sharp and handle needs to be a little bit rounded, and it would be better that it can be tip up and down. Still, this one is the best ( of all customs and productions ).

Simply because the handle is large and uncomfortable to you, does not mean that the majority of people love the knife.

I don't think you could find the same following for the 710 that the Military has.

FWIW, advantages of the handle:
The G-10 has a lot more grip.
Large handle offers a variety of holds without compromising the grip.
Easy to use with gloves one (ever try to shut an axis folder with gloves?)
Exceptional ergos. I don't think I've ever held a more ergonomic knife.
Larger handle to blade ratio improves control of the blade.

All hail cabala, the great knife master :foot: without you knowledge what would we do.

Cabala, you want to get banned, don't you? Can't you ever just let a thread die? We know your opinion and I think that all of us to a man disagree with you so far. Continually harping on RAT products isn't going to make you many friends, especially with the feeble criticisms and smart-alec attitude you bring to the table.

I'd recommend making less broad statements and putting forth information as your opinion rather than "fact." It might help people look at you as something other than an opinionated and beligerent blowhard, which is what your present means of communication impresses.

:):):):)

the bm710 is pretty damn good, but i dont think its the best. i feel that the spyderco military, chinook and police 3 are better choices.
