Why no Love for the 700

While I was shopping for my new 0200, I saw more ads for the 0700's. Why do they get no love? I never see them mentioned, I never see anybody talk about them. Were they a bastard child? What gives on them? There are a lot, for some really good prices.

I briefly had an 0700, it was a fine knife, the blade shape just wasn't for me.

As for the 0400, it's one of my favorites!

0700 and 0700BLK - I like 'em both, blade shape and all. I am a fan of tanto shaped blades so there's that. I guess I'm still nostalgic from when they were hard to find and I actually found one before the second wave. For a while I had a super rare ZT and I still want to pick up another 0700 and 0400 eventually, if only to customize it like in the pic above, which looks amazing!

I just picked up a 0700 a few weeks ago and i love it!!!!!! but i understand what ur saying i looked for info before getting mine and wasnt much said about them here compared to other ZTs

I think tanto blades are out of favor at the moment but if you like them, more power to you.

I have a 700 and think it carrys better than any of the other ZT knives that I have. I find the tanto is more versatile than people give it credit for. It cuts cardboard just fine, and I used it like a chisel and scraper. It's a fine knife, and a hard worker.

No 0700 pics? I just thought it was ugly so never picked one up, thats all it was for me.

I have a 0700, I like it alot but compared to my other ZT's its my least fav becasue its so small (reminds me of my Kershaw JYD 2) and the main reason I love ZT is their overbuilt style knife but its still great esp if you like smaller knives I just prefer large knives.

I've got one. Like it. Nice blade shape and length. Light. Sturdy. There is nothing NOT to like about it, unless you dislike tantos.

I had one, but I am just not a fan of the tanto shape. It was top notch quality though, a dream to flip.

I still have my 0700 & 0700BLK but like other discontinued ZT folders (0400, 0500, 0610, 0650, 0750, 0780) they never had much of a market and other than the 0500 not much set them apart from the crowd.

I have lots of love for both those models. I was gifted a 0750 a while back and it's absolutely perfect in every way. I don't use it much, because, well it was a gift. I don't want it all beat up. The 0700 is an awesome knife too, for the price it's one of the best values available.get em while you can.

Firstly, you can get a great deal on brand new discontinued 0700 and 0121 right now from KershawGuy. Both have S30V blade and at these prices a steal!

Secondly, the 0780 does look great but handle it by opening/closing it plus put it into your pocket and you'll see it's not very practical! That's my take.

I got a 0700 last week from kershawguy. It is great. It was very tight at first. I had trouble opening it either way. But it is getting better. It is my first tanto blade and i like it. Great knife. But what do you expect? It's a ZT. :-)

I didn't like the grip shape of the 0700. The 0780 is too slim, and the 0750 is just about the epitome of unpractical.

I think on all three of those designs they went a bit overboard in trying to make them stand out appearance wise. The first time I saw the 0750 I set it back on the counter and slowly walked out of the store backwards. No offense to owners or KAI, but that thing should have been called a "Zero Utility" instead of a Zero Tolerance.
