Possibly my favorite machete is the Condor Eco-Lite, which I beleive is the basis (or very close) for the ESEE machete (at a fraction of the price).

@ Threatx3 That brown sheath above looks like a US military issue machete scabbard/sheath. I've got one in black and it's also what I keep my 18" machetes in.

I just received two Condor Eco-Lite's Friday I'm soon to post pics $12.99 each almost razor sharp the whole blade very impressive the machete specialists is the place to go!
for the Eco-lite much love!!

The machete is goooooood. Dont use it as much as íd like to though.
Its my fisrt and foremost anti-bramble tool.

The Condor Eco-Lite is great value, but the ESEE Lite Machete has a really good micarta handle that means you could use this machete hard all day long and have no blisters. I love my ESEE Lite Machete!!!!

It's a great piece of work! Just haven't been able to snag one for myself yet--I already have, like, three different Latin patterns so when I grab new pieces it tends to be of different patterns. :)

Dude the Lite machete freakin rocks... i personally carry it with me every time im out of doors. i use it for almost everything i love mine!

o man i think im in love. i really do need to get a machete, but to be honest the biggest turnoff to me is crappy handles. thats why im loving the looks of the esee. right now i have it down to esee or the 16 inch fiddleback forge

I am much loving the machete...and have since 1968. I do not have the ESEE version but I do have 2 "traditional" machetes (which is what I would consider ESEE's offering most certainly). Much love for the traditional machete.

I do not consider the Junglas to be a "tradional" machete at all however. I would classify it as a "bowie" knife or a "leuku"...a camp knife. A very useful, practical, and from my point of view, desireable form...but not a machete.

I've never owned a machete but the Light Machete is really appealing. It would make hiking off-trail so much easier, especially in the heat of summer.

I don't have one because I have sever cheaper machetes that get the job done, as well as a custom that works for me that has a micarta handle. Maybe I will get one, someday. Just not now.

I have the ESEE Lite machete and the Eco-lite. I love both of them cause they work so good but I like the ESEE better because the handle is longer. The Eco-lite has a short handle which cramps my hand sometimes.

Machetes are great for trail clearing and yard work. I carry one when camping normally it's been a 14" Bolo by Tramontina, but I'm thinking about carrying an 18" depending on the trail. No Lite Machete because I already have at least four 18" Machetes. But one of these days I might get one to play with.
