why no pics of Ti RIL millie?

Sad that my "begging for pics thread" has strayed off the shiny footprints path typical of this forum with unsubstantiated criticism of a fine maker-- that definitely wasn't my intent. Let's please return to our normally schedule, lets talk about spydies programming :)

Now, about those pics I am desperate to see....

Look, Sebenzas and Sages aside, all I know is I can't wait for the TiMil.

I agree. Sorry that I helped this thread jump the rails. Let's get it back on track. So is anyone else a little upset that the Ti Mil is still going to be tip down only? :( I'd really love to see a variation of the Mili with a tip up option someday.

I am excited for some possible custom graphic patterns to be offered after market on it. It's pretty fertile ground for creative custom designs.

That is absolutely correct. And that handle is well large enough that some really amazing work can performed. I can see a trip to STR and perhaps an engraver in the future of my Ti Mili.

A respected knife reviewer on YouTube is one source that I got the info from. He has dozens of knifes from many different makers and has had his channel on YouTube since 2006. He has 67 videos, 12186 channel views and 345 subscribers. He would never keep that many subscribers if he was a lier. The name he uses is iAMboognish and the video in question is called Strider SnG vs. CRK Sebenza . Near the end of the video he clearly states what I said in my post about voiding the warranty, In-fact he says that the warranty is considered void as soon as you flick the blade open because chriss thinks its too hard on the knife. Dont blame me, take it up with the guy telling thousands of people the same thing in his videos...:grumpy:

even tho I'm not completed excited about buying one, I am very curious to see how thick the framelock portion is. Will it be thicker than the Sage2? or more like the Chokwe? and I wonder what material they will use for the backspacer. Oh and the washers? Hmmm

Just pre-ordered a Ti Millie. Why does Spydero like to put a black clip on things like this and my D2 Para? The plain clip like the one on my Orange Millie would look so much nicer.

Interesting. Per their own website, CRK allows that "flicking" the knife is actually required for proper reassembly.

IMO they have a contract with whoever supplies them with materials so I doubt that a new material will be used for most of the metal parts like spacers. If I'm wrong please excuse me, I don't work there, I'm not even in the same country. Pity though since it would be nice to see a Ti military with Ti frame, spacers and whatever else can be made using Ti. Screws made from Ti would be awesome but I don't have any idea if that's possible or just impractical...

Or maybe they just tune in to laugh at him, like the light saber kid. ;) :D

That is, once, and very gently. If Chris Reeve saw me playing with a Sebenza like I do an Axis lock, he'd probably have a heart attack.

True however, my post was in response to the statement by GTG which he attributed to a youtube poster which was "the warranty is considered void as soon as you flick the blade open because chriss thinks its too hard on the knife."

Clearly that is not the case.

I think we should take this debate elsewhere since this thread was originally about the Ti military. Its only fair that we leave off this thread and start our own thread about warranties or something...
