Why no tip up option clip on the Millie?

I just ordered a Military but was unaware that it could not be moved. Unfortunate.
I'm sure I'll get over it.
Is the Manix adjustable?

I don't think there's anything wrong with the lock on the Millie. It's pretty much perfect, so far as liner locks go.

The next refinement will have a 4 way clip.

Some have made their own.

STR?

Good to hear, I have thought about contacting STR. I will also be buying one of the new four way clip versions when they come out.

Should I just have my bank account direct deposited? :D

Yes, the Military's liner lock is the best IMHO. Almost as good as a framelock!

Right, but the keyword there is "Almost". I wouldn't mind if they put a compression lock on it like the para. For the price for a Mili, almost just don't do it for me. On the other hand, I love the slimmer tip section than the manix when should makes cleaning fish/game and whittling traps easier than my manix.

The four way clip idea should be put on almost all knives I think. I like the liner lock on the Military and if they changed it to a compression lock, I wouldn't buy it. As a matter of fact, I am very hard pressed to buy any compression lock lately. I just don't see the need for that type of a lock.

Best locks in order IMHO:
1. Axis type lock, the new BB with wings looks good.

2. Frame lock.

3. Liner lock.

4. Back lock.

My estimate is the next edition Military will have a new Spyderco patented lock, that hasn't been out yet.

Spyderco has hinted of new lock systems coming down the pipeline. Sal has also voiced that the Comp lock is hard to manufacture...even though it is a great lock system. Also in the past, Sal has said the latest Military will likely have a new lock. Based on these three bits of info, I lay odds on a new, unforseen lock system.
