I can't wait to see the side by side of the 110 and 112.

Wait...no longer!!! :D

I had time today to cut & thread the shouldered SHCS's, so except for some brass buffing, this is the finished set... :p

Those look real fine, Trax:thumbup:. Think I like the look of the SS best, at least, just from looking at the pics. Preston

I was toying with the idea of making one from ~.104" aluminum and ~.040" brass...a slimline skeletonized 110...

Would it be an alloy aluminum or just your everyday run of the mill alum.?? Preston

You mean like 6065 or 7072??? (or whatever the alloys are!). No, just whatever my local sheetmetal/heating shop has on hand. It's not a loadbearing member and doesn't have to be hardenable. After all, these are just paperweights... :D

Pretty cool for paperweights.

Trax, I am hopping to get back the Buckbenza from Joe real soon. I’ll post pics as soon as I can. I can’t help but think that our discussion about the Buckbenza might have had something to do with your making these ‘paperweights’. Anyway, I really like’m.

Could be! I recall the conversations, although I have no idea what a Buckbenza is.

I'm using #6-32 SHCS's, which are ~.136" dia, so I only had to open up the rivet/rockerbar/blade holes a little bit. A #5-40 SHCS would have been ~.125", perfect for Bucks, but no good for a Titanium 560 grip drilled for a .125" rivet. I haven't tried to thread a .125" hole for a #6 SHCS, so I don't know if it'd work or not...

Buckbenza is my cutesy name for the knife we talked about, a 560 handle with an AG S30V blade. I sent the parts to Joe like I said I would. It is named to honor the Chris Reeve Sabenza which also has a titanium handle and an S30V blade.

trax, i tip my hat to you. I mean if you dont who else would it not like im gonna do that. good luck maybe buck will hire you as a colaberater!!!!!!!!!!
