why not flat ground blades

Why doesn't Chris Reeve make flat ground blades? I only like hollow ground blades on small hunting knives. Wouldn't a survival/utility knife be better off with a flat ground blade?

Flat ground blades have their advantages, including being easier to sharpen in the field. However, sometimes a flat ground blade does not have enough material to support the cutting edge from impact stress and tough work. This is probably one for Chris as he is better equipped to explain his decision making with respect to grinds and designs; not to mention he is more knowlegable.

The Feb. 2001 issue of Blade has a great article with Chris Reeve going into detail on the subject.
