I like the sage as well...my new Skinny sports it and I'm liking it a lot!
 
I have a snakeskin satin jack tac with urban grey. It photographs well but it looks kind of ugly in person. I never thought of the slickness of it for slicing like Will York mentioned but that makes sense. But, it is so ugly that I just put it way back in the safe.
 
Try outlining the sheath with sequins. That may compliment the grey blade nicely. Just a thought:D:D.ss.
 
I guess it's just one of those things that's got to grab you the right way.

I had a BATAC in UG with Blk G10 handles, and it was kinda ugly to me. I got it because, like already mentioned, it looks good in many photos, sort of like DC at the right angle. But the shine was way too much. It almost looked plastic-coated.
 
i had a urban grey with tan micarta, game warden..ugly.... i called it the Urban S h _ t ! warden and ffbm got stripped Quick!

My favorite Busse (this week) is my Urban Grey/Tan Micarta CGFBM. The newer grey is lighter though and I've sold or stripped the other urban grey for that reason.

Is the UG coating inferior in quality compared to the other coloured coatings, wears faster, chips? Is it just less liked by opinion? Or, am I just imagining the whole thing and UG sells just as much as the other colours?

I like it a lot. Grey/Black Micarta. Ordered a couple of the NMFBM Combats in that combo. Nice with Black G-10 also.
 
my only Busse ha it with blue/red scales and i think it looks nice the way it is. Might strip it someday tho..

Well, I guess so far that's my only one but there will be more. I think the OD and UG coatings are more wear resistant than the black.
 
This thread needs more pics. Does anyone like the UG as much or more than I like the OD?

Love that FBM Mikeymoto! Is that jungle shadow camo/green linen? I've got the same combo, and it's one of my favorite Busse's :thumbup:

Yeah that FBM is Jungle Shadow Camo. I really wish Jerry would bring back the camo options. One reason I like the camo is because as the coating wears it's broken up by what coating is left.
 
We all have our favorites, in a coated knife I like OD the best, then the Tan that is no longer.

For some reason I dislike the Sage, Urban and Mudddy. The Black looks good but is to crinkly for me.

I had an Urban Defender for a while and carried it a few times but I never took to it. When I needed to sell one it didn't bother me to let it go even though they aren't that common. Now, my Jungle Defender will stay with me and someday I might even get around to using it! :thumbup:
