He's the guy who thought that he needs to up the abilities of the steel he uses for his knives after having to chop out of motor bike accident, I guess D2 didn't take it all that well...
 
How well would SR101 do at this I wonder? Or A2?

Same edge geometry, I bet SR101 performs about the same. Not sure about A2, haven't used it a lot. But my Rodent 6 (SR101) has been beat around hard on my chainsawing outings and still shaves (it's my most used/abused knife).
 
Yeah, the Rodent 6 is a sleeper of the Swamprat offerings. IMO, works well above its weight class. And takes a mean edge.
