Why only one thumbstud on the folders?

I searched the forum to see if this had been asked before, and it appears that it has not.

Why do you put only one thumbstud on the folders? Even for right handed people, 2 thumbstuds only adds versatility. As for left handers, manipulating the liner lock left handed is easy enough, but using a right handed thumstud with the left hand is impossible.

Sounds great. I won't ask for a ballpark timeline for the standard double thumstud...I'll just keep an eye out.

I want to make sure of something though, before I buy an AR.

I can send this in to you guys to have it modified for double thumstuds and a reversible clip, right?

If so, what is the cost for these modifications and a ballpark turnaround time?
