Why or what do you like about the Emerson knife, or knives you own?

Not trying to resurrect an old'ish thread but I will say that having spent last night sharpening my 7 vs. my Spyderco Caly 3.5 in ZDP-189, a major assest for me is the ease of sharpening. I know that the 154 won't hold an edge as long as other steels (especially at the softer RC levels) but it is so much easier to sharpen - for me that is a formula which works.

I would add, that it is a formula that the locals here in Malaysia apply to their parangs too - sound steel, relatively soft tempering makes for a real work-horse tool.

Just my experience but one that I am sticking with...
