Why S7 Preferred Over S5?

Im not understanding why its seems that those who like shock resisting tool steels are choosing S7 most commonly over S5. S5 offers more toughness, more wear resistance and can be hardened further than S7.

Whats wrong with S5?

Thanks folks

This is still puzzling me. Ive ordered some powder double melt processed S5 for experiments so Im going to find out the hard way

S7 is air hardening and S5 is not. S7 is more of an industry standard (more widely available).
