Why SFNO's???? I still don't get it

Ian, I have a question for you. I have seen those pics several times. Did you actually kill the hog with the NO? That is what I call putting a user to use.

But, is it fratricide to kill a hog with a Hog? Or is that the only right way to do it?

Yes, the pig was stuck with the SFNO. It was caught out the back of my place here a couple of years ago now (I guess) :D Not by Stan my dog, but another that a couple of young fellas that live near by have.

We have a good few wild pigs around here, in fact my neighbors the NSW Forestry caught 130 over a shot period of time in traps recently.

We never use firearms while pig catching unless the dogs are in trouble with a boar. And that's not often.

Stan, my Bullmastiff caught a sow double that size about twelve months ago . He tends to be a bit hard on pigs and any other dogs around him so he's really not a team player. :D

Besides, he's 84 kilos and a bit massive to make a good pig dog. He's the best companion/guard dog I've ever owned though.
Cheers, Ian.

Edited to add:

Here’s a reasonably good series of the chase, catch and kill
The pics were taken north west of here and shown on the swamp a while back.

Is that a Wire Hire and a Gray Hound , I like their armor too.

I can't say much about a SFNO, except I will own one someday.;)

The SFNO is a great collector knife, because it is so symmetrical and balanced (a classical definition of beauty) and relatively rare and hard to locate.

BUT it is an even better user. It will do almost everything and the SF handle is neutral enogh for almost every task. The ergo and fusion handles won't handle non-chopping tasks nearly as well (IMO). The tac handle has too much vertical swell for ideal versatility. The SHSHII is the only knife I can see challenging the SFNO for versatility (although I can't say for sure because I can't ever locate one to purchase:mad:).

So, in the meantime the SFNO is king of the Busses, for me.

Because like all things inifi, SNFO's are best when they are melted down and injected directly into the blood stream:D:D:D isn't that what everyone does with their infi:confused::confused:

I have an old SFNO fatty with mags.

I think its the baddest looking Busse I've got.

I would say it and the Desert NO-E I have are the two best feeling Busse's I've held.

New a guy who said he took his SFNO to Iraq, just to scare the hell out of the natives!

I agree with the first statement, but the second puzzles me. Look at this picture of a Force One and NARK:

At its widest point, the top to bottom dimensions are almost identical. The major difference is at the forward constriction, where the TAC gets narrower.

Good call Rick. I think the SF and TAC handles are the most versatile to date, and very similar. Very comfortable as well, although I think the EU handle is the most comfortable.

Maybe you are right; but when you hold a a tac handle tightly the swell isn't as comfortable as the SF handle, because of the difference between the middle of the handle and the lower part. At least that is how it feels to me. I've actually been grinding on the handle of my BATAC to straighten it out, so there is less difference in size from middle to finish.

The SFNO is the only Busse that I regret not being able to get directly from the Shop when they were offered. I remember seeing it and thinking "that is the perfect all-around knife!" Someday...
