Why short people need knives!

I do that at home, but I never have in a store. Maybe it's because I'm too poor to afford anything from the top shelf.

Yeah, those bags of puffed wheat cereal on the bottom shelf are easy to reach.

Good with honey, but honey is on the top shelf though...

I'm 5'9", so not quite as short as some of the other folks who've posted already, but still rather short for your average guy. Most oftentimes I find interesting ways to climb to whatever I need, but when I'm at work I sometimes use the same trick.

I've done that too. I also have ocasional back problems and have used a knife to pickup trash from the floor. A quick stab saves the pain of bending too far when the back is acting up.

I usually just tippy-toe when I need to reach something. Guess that's the upside to being 6' tall. However, if it's really out of reach, I'll usually just jump for it. Wouldn't want to try using a slippie to reach for something, for fear of it closing on my fingers.

I do that too alot. And when I drop something under the couch or my bed and can' t reach it.

I was getting the car tuned up and waiting in the lobby. One of the mechs came in and whipped out what looked like some kind of stockman slipjoint. He stood on his tippy toes and changed the tv channel. I thought heck ya! use #101 man!
