Why should the Mr. have all the fun?

cool pics Katie, was pretty sure Mr. S was along from the angle of that shot of Kaela and yourself.

I love pictures with kids learning to use knives instead of fearing them. I have ran into so many people who freak out over me carrying a knife, and I am grown. Cool pics, thanks.

excellent stuff. To both of you!

My daughter USED to ride her 4 wheeler over any trail the rest of us took, can clean a fish (if she remembers how), clean a squirrel, and can shoot pretty well.

of course, as others said, ENJOY these years...now she's in HS and into drill team, hair, makeup, has a permanently attached cell phone...but oh well....it's in there somewhere in her brain...under all that.

Very nice pics! Nice to see families getting outside, enjoying wilderness.

Seems its few and far between these days.

they sure taste good;)

Yes, indeed, when they're ripe!

Great Pics! I have to agree with Otis... I've always called those things "MayPops". Technically speaking, it's a Passiflora Incarnata.

Wow! That brings back memories. I haven't seen a maypop in years.

We always called them maypops, as well, and they certainly are delicious when ripe. Katie, the one you have isn't quite ready yet. IIRC, they need to be a little further along. They're full of sweet juice when they're ripe.

These are great photos of you and the family. So glad you got to spend time outdoors with your younguns.:D

Looks like a fun time! Pretty neat for her to have her own special knife.

That Passion Flower vine is also the natural food for Gulf Fritillary butterfly larvae. My girls used to spend hours collecting the caterpillars from it and having them race each other. My mom also made jam from the fruit.

The plant is pretty hardy, you can dig up a small portion of root and transplant it home if you want, soon it will be taking over your fence or other nearby bushes :) .

Great pics of the Shotgunner clan romping through the Texas wilderness. It's always great to see a child get their first outdoor blade and teach them how to use it. I've came across some people in my time that have "don't mess with me" written all over them, Katie with her Junglas strapped to her leg pretty much qualifies as one of them. :)

Perfect. I LOVE wearing it to walmart. :D

I"m sure the shirts would be cool. Kind of like the hoodies.

you have to name names! it's the only way they'll learn to keep their pie hole shut if they're not fully committed to buying one regardless of price or design. if somehow a list of names ends up in my in-box, it won't take much bourbon to coax me into shaming them publicly. my source will remain nameless :p

ahem, i'm now having a few glasses of bourbon.

The first thing I thought when the suggestion was made...;)

too many poseurs on this board posting "oh, i'm so getting one!" ruining it for the rest of us. notice i've never posted in the hoodies, bandana or panties feeler threads. i bet half the people who posted they want a hest folder already bailed once they saw the price tag...baller wannabe's.
