Why so little info on A.G. Russell knives?

M60e3, if you collect boat knives with marlin spikes, check out David Boye's boat knives. He comes from a family of sailors and his design has been honed for over 25 years. It's made of cobalt so there is no rust. It is cast, so the grain keeps cutting even as the knive dulls. There is no steel in the knife...thus no rust.

Put my name in the hat as cheerleader for AGR. I just bought two more knives from him last month.

I am sure the newest offerings from him in this model would make you happy.

All you hear about the iron clad satisfaction guarantee is completely correct.

Any help would be appreciated....

You should be patient. You posted to a FOUR year old thread to ask your question. FOUR.

If you want and answer sooner, you should try the collector's area, or search Google/the Bay, etc., to find examples.

Considering you went to the effort of joining the forum to ask such a meaningless question and you say you'll never sell it, the obvious answer is "yes" you got a good deal for $20. It's already given you a boatload of stimulation and it's worth whatever you think it is.

A bag of hamburgers costs $20 but instead you have a marlin spike. A great deal I'd say.

brownshoe, sorry for not seeing this post sooner, I've now subscribed to the thread. I had a David Boye Cobalt rigging knife, yellow scale, and I loved it. I regret selling it, will probably pick up another one sometime in the near future. Thanks for the heads up, I agree his knives are very nice.
