Why Spyderco and serial killers?

A Spydie Endura(old original model) was used by the "good guys"!!!!!;)

Also, the "Catcherman" model was used by Paul Hogan in the film "Flipper".

I think it's because a Spyderco looks aggressive to your average person. The first time I ever saw a Spyderco on TV was on Matlock-They were able to identify the attacker because of it. The gun store clerk though it was odd that a girl would want such a knife:rolleyes:.

Stephen King always had his book characters use rather mundane edged tools- SAK's, straight razors, standard hunting /pocket/ kitchen knives(The dog in Needful Things was killed by a SAK corkscrew to the eye). Another writer who does a good job with knife content is Lawrence Block.

Keep in mind that some unapologetic knifenuts are liberals. :) I'm a Democrat who belongs to the ACLU. I also have a concealed carry permit and routinely have a large folder visible on my belt.

Some of my friends were already into knives. I've managed to convert a few more and I'm still working on the rest. :D
