There was a contest a few weeks ago, that I spent waayy too much time guessing on. It was from Mr. Tolar, who was giving away a Schrade Pro Hunter 2 to whomever could come the close to guessing a few sheathed knife models.

Well somehow I won that thing, and he sent the knife my way lickity-split. This thing came extremely sharp out of that wrapping...
Here it is with my Vic Farmer for size comparison. It feels really great in the hand, and offers a surprising degree of cutting power. I can see why they called it the pro hunter, because this thing excels at powerful, precise cuts. And cut it does!
It also had no sheath, so I made a little back-pocket sheath real quick out of some spare leather I had laying around:
It was just cut to the size of my backpocket, enough for a tight fight. I left rough edges to encourage it to stay when being drawn. It's actually very comfortable and you forget it's there pretty quickly, even when sitting.
I've used it quite a bit for leather work, and some light carving. It was a comfortable little fellow on a quick dayhike I took earlier as well.
So 1,000,000 cool points to Stephen Tolar!!
