Why the interest in knives

My brother gave me his old barlow knife when I was around 7 and he got the first SAK that I ever saw, but what really got me interested was "The Iron Mistress" movie with Alan Ladd and the "Jim Bowie Show" on TV in the mid-50s. I loved them both! As for other edged weapons, I was huge fan of knights in armour (spelling intentional) and other such stories from British books that I was read and then read to myself from as long ago as I can remember.
