why the steel change in the izula folder?

I am not exactly thrilled with the D2 blades I have had so far, I have had a heck of a time keeping them sharp, but they are Ontario, so..... ? Personally I love the look of the folder, and love my Izula, so I will get one no matter what steel they pick. I currently EDC a couple of different Kershaw's and have no complains, but Kershaw aint ESEE knives.

When has esee/rat used D2 since they split from the other guys? Not saying rowen can't do a good heat treatment, do they have a track record doing so!

Will the Izula folder retain the great ESEE/RAT lifetime warranty???

That alone would be reason enough to buy this knife!

Another good question, if it will carry the same warranty? If not im passing. I don't abuse my knives on purpose but im sure it will be in $100 range and for that price, I want them to stand behind it with the same esee/rat warranty.
