Why time lasts so long))).

Welcome tho the forum and congratulations and purchase of your new Izula!!! I'm not 100% sure, but you might be the first on the ESEE forum from Russia. Jeff's taking the the world one country at a time!:D I think we all would really be very interested in knowing more about Russian knives and knife laws. Are you allowed to carry knives on you in public? If so is there a size limit and type? Again, welcome and keep posting so you can get your RAT Pack number, everyone in Motherland will be jealous!!!:D

Both of my neighbors are from Russia, they moved here about 15 years ago. They are absolutely some of the greatest people I have ever known! I don't know what it is but they all work in computers and are total IT geniuses, it's amazing!

Thank you for your kind words! With regard to our laws - roughly knives we are divided into 3 categories:

1. Knives are freely allowed to turnover are called Household. These are folding knives with blades up to 15 inches. Knives with automatic blade shorter than 9 cm for a fixed blade knives, a lot of nuances I will not dwell on them, it all depends on the type of handle, blade, blade tilt with respect to handle the hardness and thickness.
(For example, BM 151 apply to 2 points, but if he cut down a palm hand it will be treated to the first point, many have come).

2. Knives related to the cold arms - they are sold only to people who are hunters, they knocked out the number and they fit in their hunting license. If it is find a person who is not a hunter, a knife take away the owner fined.

3. Knives prohibited trafficking - Knives with automatic blade is greater than 9 cm, daggers with blades more than 5 cm, butterfly knives perpender. If they find police, they confiscated and the owner fined.

I described all fairly accurately, the law is very much detail, for example BM 42 is prohibited for circulation, because it relates to knives butterflies, but if he cut off the tip, it becomes legal.

Knives 1 category can be worn anywhere, sometimes in theaters or some government buildings are metal-seekers and the police can find him and not let the owner inside.

The main problem in Russia, the low competence of police officers, very often they can take legal knife banned, and then had to defend their rights. Fortunately, this happens infrequently.

Добро пожаловать в форум....

Friends may asking some questions I can break the rules of the forum, if this happens please understand me and tell me about it))

What do you think about BK11? In the Russian knife forum, he likes to many. I was wondering if you chose between BK11 and Izula 1, why did you choose Izula 1? What he's better, I'm very interested in your opinion. Thank you and please excuse me if the question is not correct.

Well i think the main issue is the Izula's handle is more comfortable, and the blade is longer for the BK11.

If you can't decide you can just get the BK14 which has the Izula's handle and the BK11's blade!

The Izula I and the BK11 ...

longer blade: BK11
better looks: Izula
more comfortable handle: Izula (II is even better in that field)
nice colors: Izula

Some browsers will translate whole pages if a different language is detected. Google Chrome does it.

Google translator also gets the general idea past, but almost all idioms are lost. For instance, Google says "Очень приятна" means "very nice", which it does if directly translated, but we've been taught that it can be used to say "nice to meet you".

I'm actually just beginning a Russian class at my university, and I think it's a lovely language.

Cheers.

Good to hear you got you packages without any problems......:thumbup:

This is totally off topic but I think it's just amazing that with the help of technology we can make new friends from every corner of the planet any time we want. I also think it's amazing all of the open arms that are being extended from my brothers in the US to a new guy from Russia. I remember as a teenager in the 80s living through the tension of the last days of the Cold War between the US and USSR. This just warms my heart and puts a big smile on my face. Good stuff!

Welcome khtima! Glad you got your Izula safe and sound. I hope you stick around too. It's a great group of people here.

I hope Google Translate does a decent job of this:

Khtima, that's great to see that you got both of your Izulas with no problems! Now you need to just take some pictures for us and post them of you using them out in the Russian wilderness. That would be neat to see! Congrats again!!!

Friend, I am very pleased to hear that. Unfortunately politics is far from the desires of people, and people often collide seeking benefits. I'm glad that now it's different and people from different parts of the world can communicate without problems.

I have a page on facebook and skype. I'll be times when you all become my friends, and we learned a lot about each other.

Maybe I'm not well understood what you wrote. I'm near the mountains, the desert away from me so far. I'll be sure to take photos during their trips. If I have misunderstood you, then please excuse me ... In this blame google)
