Why were there so few Tilts made?

I missed so many opportunities to snag one off of the exchange awhile ago. I just wasn't that into knives when they were released.
 
I think that the fact that no more will be made and the steel is no longer made, drives the prices up. The knife is nice but I believe the collectiblitiy of the knife has driven up the secondary market price of the knife.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great knife but the going price is supring most people here....
 
Bob, how can you NOT use the TiLT. It's 20X more beautiful in use.

It tempts me at times, but I carry so many great knives already. 0550BLK w/ LSCF scale, 0301, 0350ZDPCKT, CPM-154 Green CF frankenblur, S30V spec-bump, Offset, random leek. My desire to carry nice knives with awesome steels is satisfied for now. Ill carry my 0600 when I get it. :D
