Sal, is there just one new model coming, or are both the Large and Mini Manix getting an update?
Just one first. Eric has a design for the larger one, but we'd like to work with one first. New stuff always has glitches and solutions must be learned.

It's just easier to manipulate. Look at the P'Kal for the first example of the lock's use. IMO With the cage it might be a little harder to clean, but it will also be a lot easier to use.
Perhaps because knives are dropped from the lineup based on current sales, or rather lack thereof. The Manix probably sold enough units, total, in the years it was in the lineup, to have been worth manufacturing. However, it did not sell enough in its final year to justify keeping it around for another in its original form. The foliage green Sprint Run sold well and quickly, so the design obviously does have a following. Who knows, we may still see a digi-camo version - not my cuppa, but does seem to be in vogue. The ball lock version will give collectors reason to buy another, ball lock devotees reason to buy one, and folks who dislike the front/mid/back lock reason to at least consider one.If they think the manix wasnt a popular enough seller. Why would it be any more popular with this new lock. I know you said easier. but most people dont know about this type of lock. The lockback has been around alot longer, so you would think that people would rather have the lockback version.
oh no.....say it isnt so....a ball lock....?
well, i guess thats one i aint going to own...![]()
