I bought some Warwood from Jepcho and really like it plus it doesn't aggravate my allergy (formaldehyde) . There is limited info I could find on WIAC and I was wondering if it was similar to Warwood or if it had phenolic resins in it.

Did you ask Jepcho?

From what I remember, warwood is just corn fiber and resins. I don't know how similar WIAC is.....but I bet the seller knows.

I talked to him on the phone and he says it's made from 100% acrylic. Not sure if it's going to be an issue or not. I guess I'll have to look up the composition or just order some and try it. I was hoping someone had experience with it as shipping is about $26.00 for a flat rate box, with exchange works out to about $30.00.

What don't you like about it? I don't think I've ever handled a knife with an acrylic handle.

It grinds and polishes "funny" and it is way too soft for anything but a shelf queen. The polish will get very shiny....but dull quickly in use.

Jephco has great hardware, and I like the warwood, but I'm not a fan of the WIAC. I tried it on one knife and it really had no resemblance to wood of any kind.
