Wich pattern feels good in your hand, on a single blade traditional?

i love the swayback wharncliff as an edc. The teardrop is on a similar concept line.
The backpocket is a great user but depending on how one is dressed could be a bit coumbersome to carry, but its smaller version (is it the trapper? look at Don Hanson's slippies) fits the pocket with a very useful blade at hand.

My GEC #42 is easily the best knife from a comfort point of view. I will look for more. Followed by my 72s and 73s. Unfortunately while online reviews said the #83 was nice in the hand, I don't really like it, its too small. Which is a shame as I ordered 4 😐

Another pattern I like is the spear point #92, its very comfortable.

single blade Doglegs and Gunstocks feel great in hand for me. The shape really locks your hand in there.

I do love wharncliffe style blades! Imo Swayback Wharnies are one of the the best looking knives out there.
I wonder if building one is harder to build? I,m nonot sure why i think it would be, but for some reason I do.
Another thing i like is blades made from files. The last slippie i built has a file for a blade and most likely this one will be as well.

I hesitate to say toothpicks, but there is just one that feels great to nearly everyone who has handled one, and that is the GEC #12 pattern. It's 4" closed, a little less slender than others, and just feels great.

This one is hafted in jigged, burnt, second cut stag.

Getting a little analytical, it seems that any knife of 3¾ - 4 inches closed with a downturned butt (rounding away from the palm in gripping) feels good, as it fits the curve of the hand.

agreed, shame i missed a 48 on the for sale section the other day, wonder what it sold for. it was a slim clip not the big clip tho

Sent you an email. And yes, the 48 came immediately to mind for me as well. Nothing feels better in the hand IMO

I'm with Jeff. A large toothpick (think GEC #12) just works for me. I've got some in stainless that I use a great deal in the kitchen

The only single blade traditionals I have with me, are a Buck 110, an Old Timer 7OT, and an Uncle Henry LB7. They all feel good in hand.
I ordered a couple single blades last year; Rough Rider large coke bottle, and I was gifted a Case 031S, but I have not been home to get them.
I don't know if the added width of a second blade would make a major difference in feel, but, I like how a Barlow, canoe, and an equal end large sunfish fit the hand. (the three I have with me are all two spring two blades).
