Wicked Edge and a SFNO

Finale note in this thread about the Wicked edge. If you are on the fence buy one. I just did my forth serious sharpening with it. After the stones are broken in it goes way better and faster. Just got my son a set of the Cuscadi Species grips for his Ritter Grip so after getting his knife cleaned up and in the new scales I sharpened it on the WE. It was kind of sharp already so it didn't take very long. The edge I got on it is truly the definition of scary sharp.

Hey man! I've been looking into one, and I was wondering what "kit" you ended up with. Their kits go from $300 to $1800... Which one would be most cost effective for "our" uses? (We appear to have the same sharpening needs... Busses, User Folders, the occasional kitchen knife...)

I got the 300.00 dollar kit at Blade that was on sale for 270.00. It came with 100,200 400,600 stones. I bought the 800,1000 stones and the 1 micron-.5 micron strops. Need the fine ceramic stones, been using 1500,2000,and 2500 grit sand paper between the 1000 stone and the strops. Been working great. If I could redo it I would get the kit that comes with the 800-1000 grit stones, ceramic stones and the strop. Those are really needed and are cheaper by getting them in the kit.
