I admittedly have only skimmed through this thread, so if this was mentioned and I missed it, I apologize.
I think it s important to make sure that your angle is the same on both rods. They could possibly be off if the blade is not perfectly vertical in the clamp. If you put the angle cube on both sides of the blade itself, you will be able to tell. You can do the math and then compensate with the rods.
