SOLD. Well, being the honing enthusiast that many of us knifeknuts are, I had to order one of these to check it out. The Wicked Edge knife sharpening system is a very well designed and well built tool, and I sharpened about 5 of my knives with it, and indeed produced razor sharp symmetrical edges with it with no problems.
Bottom line is that I am just so used to my Edge Pro that I don't think I really need this one, so my curiosity can be your gain. I have the complete Wicked Edge kit, which sells for $199.95, plus the two super fine accessory ceramic hones (2 grit levels similar to grey and white spyderco ceramics) which are a $39.95 option. The kit includes 8 Diamond Stones composed of 2 each in 100, 200, 400 and 600 grits.
I did not order the optional $39.95 marble base; instead I mounted it to a cutting board (not included) which is easy to do. Comes with original box and all paperwork. This is a cool sharpening system that is very well designed and machined with excellent materials. Google Wicked Edge if you want to see more details and reviews, videos, etc.
