wicked edge questions

I like hearing this and maybe I caught them at bad time, but I did shoot them an email Almost two weeks prior to Christmas.

Thank you for your service and i hope you have a great new by year!

I would think it was pretty crazy around there, maybe give them a call? Thank you for saying that; much appreciated.

To go further into my experience with the pro pack one and hopefully address some of your questions:

I wanted the wicked edge primarily to put a consistent edge on my knives. Don't get me wrong, I know how to sharpen free handed but just don't prefer it. I figure I have all these expensive (to me) knives and want a sharpener that can achieve consistent angles to take advantage of the steels used in them. I also wanted it to correct some of the uneven bevels on a few to an exact match. I have a sharpmaker with the diamond and UF rods and its a great system. I just wanted some more grits and options than two angle settings. So my wife, being the great lady she is, got me one for xmas.
By time I received the pro pack one I had studied pretty much every youtube video that related to it. I have used the pro pack one on about 6 knives now. I am very impressed; after watching the videos it has been a pretty easy learning curve. I'm not saying I've got it mastered; but I'm achieving great results so far. I re-profiled my Para2 S30V and can't believe how sharp it got. For my functions, it meets my needs and then some. The pro pack 1 will get you 30* inclusive and pretty close to a mirror edge, which is all I want/need for the knives I have here with me. I will probably buy the upgrade kit once we get back to the states and I can get into my other knives, but the pro pack 1 is just fine for now.
I hope this helps some; I am by no means an expert but if I can answer any of your questions just ask away.

You're probably right and I could be over reacting a bit, but an automated reply might be the way to handle that. Just let those that contact you that you haven't forgotten about them but you'll reply when the surges have slowed down.

I have read so much good about the wicked edge that I'm getting one regardless I just wish I didn't feel blown off is all.

I'll keep an eye out for the new field and sport model and may put my money there.

I just checked the website the field and sport pro is available now for $410

I also have sent an email to Wicked Edge months prior to the busy season and no contact what so ever. So I agree with the poor Customer Service

Possibly it's that they're not receiving the emails? I wouldn't call it poor customer service until you're a customer. Email, to me, isn't the most reliable form of contact. There's a plethora of things that could cause an email not to be received. I say give them a call, if you still have a bad experience, then you have something legitimate. Just my opinion, whatever its worth.

I am a customer :) I own the Pro Pack 1. True they deserve a second chance as far as communication

Ha! Wasn't trying to be an ass. I actually emailed them back around September with no reply and it did seem like they were blowing me off. Once I called, I realized they were too eager to take care of me to have poor customer service.

I don't think you're an ass... I think you were just providing some info related to your experience amigo :) I appreciate your input

I will indeed given them a call! I appreciate all the input and look forward to joining the wicked edge family!

- One of the arms that came with my Wicked Edge had slight play in the movement. It didn't effect my sharpening, but I called them to see if they could send me another washer to tighten up the movement. They shipped a new arm to me within a few days. IMO, when I needed custom service, I received very good service.

Someone said there was an upgraded field and sport model coming. I am now weighing all my options and will consider what im needing and wanting the most and will call wicked edge and cement my choice further.

It's so exciting isn't it! Haha! Cool bro! Well I'm sure you will be dreaming of your WE while it's on its way.....

Make sure and get the Angle Cube

I'll definitely grab a cube. I think you're right I'll be dreaming of a sharper day where knives no longer have to scream with agony from the cutting tasks laid out before them. :)

I got the PP1 and there hasn't been anything yet that it couldn't do.

Thank you for your input that's just what I like to hear!

Anybody have the Field and Sport Pro? I'm trying to decide between that and the Pro Pack 1. The F&S Pro would come with a case and the upgraded arms, but I'm not sure how much I'd be giving up in terms of the alignment options with the riser. Any thoughts? I need to pull the trigger on something soon - my knives can barely cut butter.

Hey guys,

Thanks for posting on this and keeping us on our toes. If we ever fail to answer an email, then please call us ASAP. Anyone who doesn't get a quick reply through the normal channels is welcome to contact me directly: clay at wickededgeusa dot com. I'll be sure to get you taken care of. December was crazy, plus we had website issues galore last year. First the site was too slow, so we moved to a dedicated server but that got hacked and attacked with DDoS constantly so we moved to another server but left our mail on the original because we liked the tools that were available. At some point in the change we lost several days worth of emails. That might explain it, or someone dropped the ball.... Either way, if you've been inconvenienced, I'm very sorry. We will always do whatever we can to take care of Wicked Edge users.

Shoot me a PM and we can discuss some cool options.

Clay, I tried to send you a PM, but it was rejected. Would love to know what kind of cool options you had in mind when you've got time. Appreciate it...
