Wicked edge strop question

I prefer the leather strops for the fine sub-micron compounds. I do use the balsa at 1 and .5 microns for maintenance, especially if the angle is very narrow and the edge has rolled a little.
 
I use a wax based green strop compound. I draw a little on my denim strip (my ghetto strop) and have used it to totally de-burr my Mora, and hone my convex Blackjack (chinese one), and after a few measly pisses on both sides, both were RAZOR sharp. I now have a bunch of naked patches on my arm from the arm hair test. The green compound came in a 1 pound bar and cost about 8 bucks on amazon, just search for stropping compound.
