here is a pretty sweet chopper i forged from some w2 i got off aldo. the spine on this thing at the ricasso is 5/16'' or better. the total length 13 3/4'' with 8 3/16'' cutting edge. the spine nis rounded off, and has a tapered tang. The blade is full convex grind
The scales are stabilized bamboo, and pins are s.s. tubing.
the blade was clay quenched and has a bold hamon as well as some ghostly figure above the hamon.
in the pics the blemish you see on the blade is oil, it was just starting to rain when i took these pics so i oiled it up real good....thus leaving the blade streaky looking, for a lack of better word.
