ONLY THE WIELAND IS LEFT--OTHER TWO HAVE SOLD.

I’m the original owner of these, purchased direct from the makers. Please see links below to a thread on each knife with much better photos.

First is a “Best Grade Zombie Lopper” :) from Matt Lamey with well-made open-spine leather sheath, just an excellent design. Blade steel is 1095 under presentation crotch walnut. This knife features radical distal taper and tapered tang from a ricasso thickness of almost 3/8”, for great balance and handling in a big knife with 11” blade. Knife was $700 with sheath from Matt. This has been a light user and has spent some time in the sheath (though not stored in it), and so has a few small dark oxidation spots on both sides of the blade. I have carried this knife and it has accompanied me on some camping trips, but I don’t remember ever actually using it—edge is original and razor sharp. Here is a link to Matt’s original for-sale thread:

NOW $OLD includes Paypal and insured Priority shipping in USA. No trades, thanks.
Next is a Black Bull from Claudio Sobral (CAS), one of his most popular makes, with 420/1095/420 san mai (sandwich) blade steel, polished/contoured one-piece black micarta handle, stainless guard and black leather. This is a “compact” model, blade length 7 ¾” from guard-to-point, and 13” overall. New as received from Claudio. I paid $750. Here is a link to a discussion thread on this knife with much better photos from the Custom & Handmade Forum:

Finally is a special little Gerhard Wieland integral hunter in W1 steel with a synthetic handle material called “Elforyn”, very durable and repels all types of fluid as well as being resistant to extreme temperature fluctuation. It is popular as a substitute for ivory on musical instruments in Europe, and has visual texture running through the grain but is smooth on the surface—a nice upscale change from micarta or G10. Slightly convex blade grind to almost “zero” at the edge -- very high-performance cutting geometry. Blade length is 4 ¾” from the crest of the flared edge on the bolster to point, overall length 9 ¼”, with top quality dark brown leather sheath by maker. Price from Gerhard was $756. The knife is new and unused, but the blade has darkened just a bit and the hamon is not quite as prominent (still vivid--just not as much so) as in his excellent pics in the following thread (be sure to note the beautifully subtle carving on both the blade and handle):

I’m serious about moving these so if you see something you like but think the price is high--or if you have a price in mind you’d like to pay and think it’s reasonable—I will consider offers on all three.

Thanks,
Will

Here's a quick shot of the Wieland integral and hamon, taken today:

Black Bull is sold--thanks, dis_dis!

Lamey and Wieland still available--would be a very nice pair; complementary blade shapes, both with hamons and "matching" leather sheaths! I AM going to sell these, so don't be shy about making an offer.
