here is the answer of some guy (Marvin Edgeworth) that I cut and paste
long time ago and it works for me
I don't know how old you are, but there is a thing which frequently
affects middle-age men called mid-life crisis. Many of my friens have
reacted in interesting ways to this phenomenon. A couple have purchased
Corvettes, one has taken up flying - with his own plane, of course, and
several have traded in their wives for a much newer model. I have pointed
these out to my wife. She agrees that knives are much cheaper and, from her
point of view, much more socially acceptable. So when I get new knives, she
even looks at them, and makes such comments as 'isn't that (the A.T.Barr
custom folder) the same as the one you got at the sporting goods store (a
Gerber Gator)'? This shows her concern for my hobby and quick grasp of the
main details -i.e., they both are folders, both have fairly long blades
that stick out and lock, and both have dark-colored handles. See, the're
pretty similar after all.
Anyway, it works for me - give it a try. It's a win-win argument. If it
works, you win big-time. If it doesn't work, you're no worse off than
before.
