My 5 year old daughter let the cat out of the bag so I don't have it in hand yet. Anybody have any experience with it? I'm able to sharpen it so if it comes with a "working edge" I can handle it.
thanks,
k

I found the edge to be pretty good as it comes from the factory. I gave one to my grandson for Christmas last year. He is a scout and wanted one. There was an article in Backwoodsman Magazine a while back that rated it quite high.

I got one. After a couple of uses, the head got lose. Once I got that fixed and filed down the edge a bit, it was good to go.

Got it, haven't used it yet but I can tell it's going to be a good tool. The edge came decently sharp, but I'll still hone it some. Much larger than I thought it would be. Seems to be well made considering the price.
