Wife promises a 24, orders a 11

Its really cool, and I appreciate it...a lot, but I really wanted the 24.

Oh well. Here it is.

I'm thinking some micarta, but they will have to wait until Xmas or some other time when I have extra cash. For now I'm going to find a good paracord wrap, maybe something wacky and crazy, LOL. any ideas for a cool wrap?

Looking forward to late July for my birthday Becker. A GD 24 this time!!!!!

I would do either hot pink or safety orange if you want something crazy. Neon green is nice too.

It's not hard to make your own. If you don't want to hassle with making the actual micarta, blanks can be had cheap on a well known auction site. Lots of tutorial videos available with a quick internet search. I'm sure you could find some great advice here as well. Friend of mine did a set for his 11 that run the full length of the handle. Made his to cover the bottle opener because he didn't use it. Turned out more comfortable than my 14 with the factory zytel. Once you figure it out you'll never have to buy them again.

Here's a guy who did his own for the 11...

It's a great blade btw. I think you'll enjoy it.

Just the fact that your wife even gave you a knife should be recognized. That it's a Becker means "perfect gift" no matter which one. As for the wrap, Atwood Rope has some seriously neon color combos as well as some "zombie" themed combos - purple and zombie green for one.

get the krypta glow scales. They are cool. im waiting to get some longer screws for mine because the ones that I got were to short to put them on.they glow all night .I have them beside my bed lamp.you could probly read bye the light they put out

Man every time I see pics of the new etched 11's I start to drool. Mine is one of the roll stamped ones. Might not be the right knife but it defiantly is a nice looking one!

Man TD, at least your wife buys you knives...
You've got it good my friend!

I may not be the biggest fan of the 14, but I think I need a 24. Lol

Your wife bought you a very nice knife, and it should be appreciated. :-) Also, while I'm on the subject, the knife you have there, the 11, can do just about anything. As much as I've done with the 11 (and I've done just about it all now), I can say in honesty that I'm probably one of the resident 11 experts lol, and there is very little that that little black knife can't do. Add some micarta and you've got a companion that will stick with you through thick and thin. I've beat the unholy hell out of an 11 (did so until I gave mine away some months ago), and it took season after season after season of daily batoning through autumn, winter, and spring. Being used as a Grabble (fruit grabber), tiny shovel (planting), wire-breaker, splitter, and everything else I could find to do with it (which eventually became silly in itself). :-) It looks like you have the new master series, at that. :-) Lucky, lucky man!

Give it time, you'll enjoy your 11.

Then again the 24 is nice too.

I have a 14 and I carry it everyday (Love it!). I'm not looking to replace it with an 11.

All I really meant to say was, I wanted a 24 and got an 11.

You wanted a 24, and you got an 11; why don't you just split the difference and get a BK-17?:D

Td theres a 24 on the exchange right now for 80 with a azwelke sheath... if you're impatient :D
I almost bought it just because but then regained my senses (truthfully the gf would kill me).

I carry an 11 every day on a beaded chain around my neck. It's a great knife. You'd be surprised just how awesome it is.

I send a link to the page, not only showing her exactly what I want, but also where I want it purchased from. No mistakes. Also you got a great knife!
