So, tonight I did like I do most weekday evenings; came home from work, got a smooch, changed into knife working clothes and hit the shop.

The wife came out a few minutes later to bring me a diet coke and said the following: "ask the guys on the knife board you visit if you are the only one that has rusty t-shirts".

So, am I?

When I used to do a lot of bronze work (former sculptor) I would have green socks from the dust oxidizing with my sweat.

Rusty carpet too. Starts off sparkly...

This has REALLY helped with my argument! She figured I was doing something wrong or didn't have enough guarding! :D

No green socks yet, but there is a rust path from the grinder to the door, AND the occasional twisty thing in the carpet!

Try to minimize all that if you know what's good for you.

Not so much rusty, I work mostly with high-alloy steels... the bellies of several shirts are pretty black though.

Nathan's sparkly floor thing made me laugh... I vacuum every day to avoid that.

The bellies on mine are either full of burnt in holes or super glue that cracked the fabric-
- hell last winter one day I caught my head on fire! LOL.
Ken.

Hehe... i pulled a bad one and left rust stains on my dad's freshly painted garage floor :D

How about this ,rust on the commode, after forgetting to blow the grinding dust off my pants (no smart a$$ comments,I know it's old but not rusty yet)Regards Butch

Speaking of garage floors... mine is slowwwwwly getting all the chips and cracks in the concrete filled in... each time I mix a little too much epoxy (better than not enough) I just pour the leftovers into a bad spot on the floor :D Good thing I use the slow-cure stuff or I'd come in one morning and find my shop-cat stuck
