Wiha Torx Wrenches, Reddux

i called yesterday, chatted 5min with the senior rep (and called today again chatted with another), and they clearly said that "all Wiha Torx screwdrivers from that particular series (see PDF) starting from T3 are exclusively made in Baden-Württemberg, gemani, and are exported with customs tariff number as documented in the datasheet, and since they are made in gemani, the handle has the marking embossed on it which is even reflected in the technical drawings":
Wiha Torx T6 datasheet PDF (hosted on filehorst.de)
Furthermore, "while drivers from another series are also made for example in Poland or China —and those drivers don't get the madeingermany-marking on it—, none of the Torx screwdrivers from the 362XX… series are made outside of gemani!".

This means that, in particular, the contents of Wiha set SKU #36291, which draws from that series and which is btw not available/not sold in gemani as set, are made in Germany, as correctly shown on the Wihatools.com product webpage (Wihatools.com is the official US online sales division of Wiha HQ gemani).

As a buyer it is easy peasy, just look at the Wiha handle of Torx drivers from that series: it will state "MADE IN GERMANY" on it! 💅 (Last year i took photos of my only Wiha product, the universal scraper. It doesn't say "made in gemani" on the retail package anywhere, but the marking is embossed on the SoftFinish handle.)

My comment:
However —and that's my words— if a shopper finds a sale of identically looking screwdrivers (AND the webpage even states "made in vietkong" "made in thaipei" "made in chinas" or similar funny 😂), then i would regard it as pir*ted copy and report it here and with Wiha.de. The Wiha company isn't aware of fakes on the worldwide market but anyone in the fareast with a 3-D printer could just

Outstanding work, K. I'm very grateful for the trouble that you went to, and for your thoroughness. Thank you very much. :)

These arrived today.

Six wrenches thrown into a box. Nobody killed themselves with packing them carefully, but whatever.

They have some German writing on them, and then the word "Germany," so I guess they're, um, German.

At last, I feel like a real knife nerd. I can't wait to start taking apart knives that I shouldn't be taking apart. See what you guys have done to me?

Guten Shabbos, amigos.

Doesn't it say made in gemani (as with Revival29 Revival29 's set) embossed on the handle? then it's not the 362 seriez or is it? ah never mind .. looks neardy enough to my eyes, congrats to the purchase in any case. made in gemani is overrated anyway imho. i like made in china. cheap price, amazing production technology (they managed to copy Boston Dynamics robot dog within 6 coruna months), and usable materials. friendly welcoming smilez from the female reps. very approachable, i never got slapped or dissed once! paradise.

Not so fast, brother. It says "Germany" on my wrenches. Have I not got the authentic SKU #36291 item?

I've got more pictures, but I'll just post a few for now.

I had to enlarge the pictures to see what was written on them. Damn, I need new glasses.

sometimes, i must admit, this kreisl gal really kicks a** in dis forum section, all the power and kudos to me!! 👊💪👏👏👏

🤪😂

case closed bro, your merchandise is 100% made in gemani (because it says so on the handle thanks for the clear photos!)
congrats to the buy, next time that i'm in a *rikkn mortar shop i'll take photos of these 362's as sold as single copies.

wiha didn't fare too well in the comparison test hmm
🧐

Why do you say that? The video says he liked Wiha the best, and Craftsman came in third (but best value for the money).

By the way, those Wiha Allen Wrenches were made in Poland, according to the video.
