Just wanting to see if anyone else is having problems with Wildeals LLC.
I ordered a leatherman from their website over a month ago and they took the money out of my account shortly after making the order..however I have never recieved any leatherman....their website still shows my purchase as "processing"......they sent me one e-mail the day after I made the order saying they expected my leatherman to ship at the end of the week and appologized for the delay.....

Well now like i said its been over a month and I've e-mailed them three times with no reply....left three different messages on thier voice mail...I've called probably 20 times and no human ever picks up the line.....

I should say that i've ordered 4 other knives from them and always recieved the orders quick and complete......whats going on....anyone else having trouble??????? help?????

Hey streicher, how is your order going?
I recently ordered from wildeals AFTER reading posts from other people. I figured that there have been mixed reviews, but a lot of people said that they had good experiences.

Just an update from my experience.
Knowing that WilDeals was having problems, I used Bank of America ShopSafe to create a temporary unique credit card number linked to one of my credit cards, which I used at WilDeals. I placed an order on 7/30/07 and was charged immediately. The transaction remained temporary for 1 week, and was removed from my card on 8/06/07. I emailed WilDeals on 8/06/07 to see what was going on, but still did not get a response to this very minute. I just closed the temporary credit card number, so that WilDeals can never charge me again.
I would recommend anyone who has Bank of America to use ShopSafe at sites they are not familiar with, and to also stick with credible dealers.

Thanks for the hot tip. I wish I would have done that when I went knife buying a couple months ago. BOA was very helpful and gracious about doing charge reversal on a purchase that paralleled yours. The problem is that many have become used to the great service from companies like LL Bean and lulled into a trusting mode. I understand that some of these outfits are short handed but they have to communicate and not over promise if they want to maintain credibility.

YEah I had a problem with him awhile back. I ordered a UH897 that the listing did not say that the knife was made in China. After I got it, I emailed him nicely and told him that I would keep the knife but that he might want to give more disclosure in further listings as so not to have unhappy customers. No answer. I wrote him again and his answer was a curt "you should have asked". So I gave him neutral feedback as I was only trying to help. What I got for my effort was negative feedback. I'm done with that dealer.

Was also ripped for a Spyderco Civilian (not cheap) by Dave Osborne, you'll see my feedback to him on his ebay profile (he and I have the same last name, I pray I'm not related to this scumbag!)... paypal paid me off, minus the processing fee.

Only comms I got from him was an email saying he'd had issues with his USPS account... then no knife came and he stopped answering emails or paypal dispute notices.

So he never DID get it back together... Sad.

A poster here said he read 'mixed' reviews, well just take a look at HOW he handled (or misshandled) the situation when thing went South.

I think his (Osborne/WildDeals) actions on those circumstances say a lot more about the man/company than a multitude of praise from happy customers.

Edited to add: Disko I know you NEEDED that civilian. Did you get one elsewhere? Or did you switch to something else?

"A poster here said he read 'mixed' reviews"

Apparently the mixed reviews I read were recent BAD reviews and good OLD reviews. I recently dealt w/ WilDeals and had a bad experience. I guess he used to be a credible dealer.

I had very poor experiences. Two knives never delivered, paypal response not answered, then I got the money back from paypal. A whole host of negative feedback from people all over the globe. Then I get dumped with negative feedback from him which can't be erased from e-bay even though he no longer trades. Too many people seem to have been in my boat on this to be coincidence or genuine error.

went to wildeals web page and here is David's comment.
"PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT: ***As most of you may know (especially my very loyal customers) I am currently in the US Navy proudly serving my country. As of late I have been informed that I am going to be getting orders to Iraq. With this new information, I have decided to temporarily close the business down until I can get everything straightened out. I apologize for any inconveniences and hassles and I humbly thank you all for your support as I go into harms way. Please check back in the future for any developments. I should be up and running again within the next few months. Thank you again and have a safe day!***"
