Thought I'd throw this up one last time before we lock in the groups....

Anyone interested... let me know by next week?
:D:thumbup:

Hi everyone,

YES... The date should read 2008 not 2088..... lol

Once again, Allan "Bow" Beauchamp is offering an introductory survival and primitive training course. In the past, he has mainly trained the military and various other private organizations. A year ago, Bow took on a group of students that were selected from a few of the online survival forums... After a successful training session a second group went out. One of the groups recently completed the second phase of a three part Bush Orientation Training. I was fortunate enough to be a part of this group and have found Bow's unique approach to teaching to be highly effective. However, Bow has a busy schedule for most of the year so setting up a training date with him can be difficult, to say the least.

Seeing only good people and great results from taking on "newcomers" Bow has decided to free up time in his schedule to train the general public. This will be done in small groups of 10-20 people and take place over the next 4 years. The Bush Orientation gets you to the point where you become self-sufficient and can "live" in the bush, regardless of season. After these 3 phases are complete you will be capable to accompany Bow on journeys that will take you deeper into the bush than you could ever imagine.

The next training session will be held from Monday, April 21st to Friday, April 25th, 2008. You will need to arrive the day before (Sunday, April 20th) to set up camp, and will leave the morning after the last day of training (Saturday, April 26th). The training takes place about 2 hours outside of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada in a town called Webwood. The price is $120 CDN per day for a total of $600 CDN for the week. You are responsible for your own food. The first course will be held at a "safe site" where you will drive right up and set up camp just outside your vehicles.

I can answer a few general questions here... but if you are seriously interested, you will be directed to a private forum to discuss the finer details.

So, again...
Bow's Survival and Primitive Skills Training
Webwood, Ontario, Canada
April 20-26, 2008
$600 CDN

Thanks
Rick

I don't think I will be alive for this course. I would be 126 when it happens. (2088):D

Wow! Price went up. :( Or maybe the last one was a only a weekend. I can't remember now.

This is borderline spam as I see it. I dont harbor ill feelings toward any man trying to make a living but this forum will be full of ads including my own survival course.

I am interested, work permitting. I will take those dates down. Can we get a sticky on this?
I don't think this is spam, we have had survival course threads here before.

It's not meant to be like that.... I don't make a dime off this stuff and infact I won't be attending this particular course... my wife decided to get a group going and i'm helping her out. I'm just bringing it to people's attention... no different than if I found a great knife at a good price and shared it with you guys.

I'm only posting in the Wilderness Survival section of Blade Forums because that is who I think it pertains to.

Was it my wording that you found to be SPAMISH? Do I sound like an infomercial?... lol... sorry.

Nemo....

Yes it has changed from a weekend course to a full week. I think $600 is a reasonable price... seeing how my Tom B jr course costed $900, 5 years ago... but it was worth it, too.

Where can I read more about this?
It sounds like something I would be interested in.

Might be mighty cold in april though.

I was just emailing people some info and answering questions n stuff. Bow doesn't usually train privately like this... so he doesn't advertize or anything... I did tell him that there is interest on the survival boards and he is making a course info web page that'll be up soon.

I'm going back for my final orientaton course at the end of February.... brrrrrrr

I'll see about getting some more info posted here.

Thanks for the interest, folks.

Here are a couple pics from my Spring and Fall training classes....

Anyone want to carpool from Sudbury?

The folks who are coming from Southern Ontario (including my wife, cousin and his friends) have to drive through Sudbury... I'm sure we could hook you up. It all depends where people are coming from.

Are you in NU!!!!!?.... flying into Sudbury I suppose?.... lol... I could hook up your ride there and back (and your groceries) to make things easier.

PS.... I'VE ADDED PICTURES TO THIS AND MY PREVIOUS POSTS!!!
