Why keep moving my threads that are wilderness and survival based. You've done it three times!!

I follow all the rules, polite ....... Why!!!

The first bush nife i make TO POST HERE and you guys move it off somewhere frikken else!!

Try looking at some threads that dont belong here.

Why???

Relax, you are not gonna get banned. The mods are doing what they think is right. Your knife law thread got moved to Knife laws, the eating rat thread was moved by a Super Mod, not a WSS mod, and I am not sure what other thread you are reffering to.

Either way, you should bring these types of complaints up in Service and support, where this one may get moved to...

Best regards,

Tony

Look at my records. I been wanting these blades everyone keeps showing off here ... make one myself cos i cant frikken buy one .. try to show everyone here and bump ... its gone somewhere else. ffffffffffffffffffff

The rat came from a survival show!!

Is this the thread you are upset about?

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=698977

I don't see how modding a knife (a very nice mod I must say!) and posting a pic of it is WSS related.

Next time tell us you modded or made it for use in the outdoors, or better yet post pics of it being used in the outdoors.

But just a pic of a modded knife, I can see why it was moved.

Its a survival /bush knife ... isn't it? Have I got it that wrong? After reading survival knife threads for so long, try band make what I think everyone is talking about and ... kick ... it doesn't belong here??

Try looking at all the other survival knives shown off here????

So its all about the carefully chosen words to allow the thread to stay here??

Dont worry I wont do it again.

Dartanyon,
Settle down. We aren't curing cancer here. We're having fun talking about knives, gear and the outdoors. As for your last post, you mentioned it was a kitchen knife. You mentioned you cut it down. You didn't mention it would be used outdoors and it looked like a better place for it. Banning? No that won't happen for putting up posts that occasionally get moved.

As for others, the same rules apply. There are many posts that barely qualify as "wilderness" or "survival" related. The other mods and I will address them as need be. If you guys object, Esav already mentioned where to address your concern.

I was wondering why that thread got moved. Seemed pretty clear to me that you made yourself a bushcraft/survival knife out of a kitchen knife instead of waiting to buy one.

Mods: Not sass, just weighing in.

Moderating is not an exact science! When we see a thread that we think will be a better fit in a specialized forum, we move it there -- sometimes. We don't move it as punishment or criticism, just to put it where more people who participate in that subject will see it.

I know many people enjoy a particular forum, and like to see that forum cover as wide a range of topics as possible. In Wilderness & Survival, that's easy to understand. But sometimes the moderators see it differently than the original poster.

Meat of a Rodent.......

I never meant to be so bad to you
One thing i said that i would never do
One look from you and i would fall from grace
And that would wipe this smile right from my face

Do you remember when
It was the meat of a rodent
Telling me what your heart meant
meat of a rodent shone in your eyes

used to dance
And incidence arose from circumstance
One thing lead to another we were young
And we would scream together songs unsung

It was the meat of a rodent
Telling me what your heart meant
meat of a rodent shone in your eyes

And now you find yourself in 82
The disco hotspots hold no charm for you
You can't concern yourself with bigger things
You catch the pearl and ride the dragon's wings

It was the meat of a rodent
Telling me what your heart meant
meat of a rodent shone in your eyes

And when your looks are gone and you're alone
How many nights you sit beside the phone
What were the things you wanted for yourself
Teenage ambition you remember well

It was the meat of a rodent
Telling me what your heart meant
meat of a rodent shone in your eyes

:D

After careful deliberation, it's my opinion that enough garlic would make even old tennis shoes taste good. They'd still be a little chewy, but palatable.

I bet a hungry rat would eat old tennis shoes even without garlic.

I'll bet you're right. I think a hungry rat would eat a number of things that I wouldn't. But many of those things I might eat with garlic or hot sauce (or both). I attribute this to a.) rats having very poor taste when it comes to food seasoning, and, b.) they can't get the top off of the sauce bottle. Yeah, yeah, they may be clever little guys in some lab experiments, but I've never heard of them using proper seasonings.

Dartanyon, I think you took some stuff personal when it wasn't. Indicate in your posts the relativity to the W&SS forum and you'll be fine. We all have sensitive moments and think the world is responding to us rather than vice versa. Try again here with one of your moved threads. Repost that knife you modded, say what use you intend it for, take a picture of it outside on some rocks during a hike or just in your yard, and ask for some opions of it for your intended use. Clarity is key even if you think you properly insinuated what you meant to convey. Sometimes it pays to spell out an idea. I liked that mod you did on the kitchen knife. We appreciate you here and everyone who contributes. You're in the club and you're doing fine. Merry Christmas man!
