Wilderness Canoe Trip & Carried My Hatchet

David

That is a great story. I too have an Estwing hatchet and axe. They are great. The whole Estwing line is great. I'm glad to see that you were able to create a new paddle as you did. So many of today's youth would not know what to do. Call AAA, get Amazon to drone a new paddle to you? Make your own, wow new concept. Good for you. It looks great. The photographs are great and it looks like a good time for all.

Thanks Gedd. It was a hard trip. A great trip. I would not recommend a lengthy wilderness trip for a 1st swift water adventure. Plus, get in shape because by the 3rd day your sore. And carry the right tools to help you make it. Multiple Fire starter is a must, I'd leave behind my large knife and saw before leaving my hatchet. DM

Thanks, she took some good shots of the trip. The river was 30-35 ft. wide and ran through some grand scenery in our state. You don't get this very often. DM
