Thanks to j williams Maxpedition Bottle holder kit, review and pics I remembered I've been sitting on an unused large Maxped. bottle holder.

It's up for grabs! I will ship it to the first W&SS poster (( in the US * with six posts in this forum as of yesterday )) who correctly answers this question:

Most South American nations consider Spanish to be their official language. However, in two of them, Spanish shares that official status with an indigenous Amerindian language.

Which are those two nations?

* My apologies on this one for excluding our non-US friends. Subsequent freebies will be including them! Stay tuned to this channel for further announcements!

Indigenous languages of South America include Quechua in Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia; Guaraní in Paraguay and, to a much less extent, in Bolivia; Aymara in Bolivia, Peru, and less often in Chile; and Mapudungun is spoken in certain pockets of southern Chile and, more rarely, Argentina. At least three South American indigenous languages (Quechua in Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia - Aymara also in Bolivia - and Guarani in Paraguay) are recognized along with Spanish as national languages.

You are cool:thumbup:

(not only for the giveaway but for the question)

Sorry, pitdog, you'll get yours! :D

I worded the question terribly. I wanted any two of the South American nations where Spanish shared official status with an Amerindian language. That includes Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, and also Guatemala where several small language groups are official.

Since MBTull was first with a correct answer, and has well over 6 W&SS posts, he gets the prize this time. (( Please email me at ebhausman (at) gmail (dot) com with your mailing address and I'll get this out tomorrow morning. ))

Next contest, next week!
