Hey Kev,

thanks for answering my pm about your hammock. that looks very useful. who/where did you purchase from?

Paul

Very nice pics. Looks like you had a great time. What is the big black handle knife one of the guys is using to split a limb?

I don't recall where I purchased the Hammock from. It was a while back. I do remember searching E-bay before buying it and found some good prices there. Look for a place with free shipping. I remember that was a big selling point for me.

As far as the large black handled knife, it is a Becker Brute that was reground by Scott Gossman. Nice heft to it but not my cup of tea.

All in all, we had a great time and shared plenty of laughs and stories around the campfire. I'll be at the Wild Plants Intensive Course starting Sunday and going through the following Saturday. There will be a lot of emphasis placed on identification and preparation. I'll post a review soon.

do you have a better pic of that papoose set up you go that sounds pretty nifty. Thanks for all the great pics, and for being so patient with everyones questions.

RescueRiley,

I just packed my papoose away for a trip I'm leaving on tomorrow. I'll take a good picture of it and post it when I return. In the meantime, I can tell you it is the standard Marlin Papoose with an Uncle Mike's Compass pouch attached to the buttstock with velcro straps. It is fairly low profile. In the pouch I have a CCI shotshell slide with plastic cover that holds 20 rounds of CCI velocitor ammo. It also fits two 10 round magazines.

Sorry to make this response bit of a tease but it will have to do for now. I'll catch up with this thread when I get back. SORRY!!!

Kev
