Mytuko Cobalt [Olive Canvas Micarta] | PM2 CRU-WEAR | Mytuko Mini Cobalt [Olive Canvas Micarta]

The canvas micarta feels soft in the hand, providing a comfortable grip. The mixed influenced design is obvious: Western chef's knife + Japanese santoku = Mytuko Cobalt. Agile in the hand owing to a relatively short length for a utility kitchen knife. Weight and blade height lend themselves to a utilitarian, family-oriented chopper that even the kids can handle. The Mytuko Cobalt center balances just forward of the front Torx and is around 0.0185 behind the edge and 0.12 at the spine before the drop. Mytuko Mini Cobalt: ~0.10 and ~0.016, respectively. Delivered well packaged with banded edge guards to eliminate the possibility of accidental cutting while in transit. Consider this post as positive feedback for Kevin Wilkins and his Mytuko Cobalt series of knives.

I've bought two pair of Griptilian scales from Kevin. He does excellent work, provides great service, and is a most cordial correspondent.

Those are sweet little kitchen knives! How does the Micarta hold up to repeated washings?

I can't think of another maker who is more dependable and true to his word than Kevin. He's the gold standard in a business model.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

The only negative is that he lives (now) in Berlin. And as was pointed out ^^^, it's irrelevant.
