I am interested in finding a contract manufacturer to simply make a large number of finished knives for me. But who, and how should I approach them. Have any of you actually done this?

I am, naturally, (if not naively) interested in approaching a large manufacturer to licence one of my designs. What do you know about this?
 
the guy that makes titanium knives does that. i wanted to get a titanium ka-bar made, never fallowed through though. let me find his web address.
 
Sam, have you tried simply emailing any?? Most folks are easier to get to than people think. Just use the www to find their web site. Take care! Michael
